Moulton, Alabama – The Alabama Jammer will make a special appearance at the 7th annual Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival Saturday, April 9th. Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame inductee Webb Wilder is set to perform with the one-of-a-kind Gibson guitar beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the Logan Pharmacy Stage.

Webb Wilder joins the ranks of other noted musicians, including Mac McAnally, Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora, 311, American Idol finalist Bo Bice, Colt Ford’s guitarist Dan Weller, The Civil Wars, Dan Wiese of Kill Hannah, and others, who have tried out the Alabama Jammer. The guitar, in the shape of the state of Alabama, is an icon for the 2011 Year of Alabama Music and was created by Gibson Guitars in Nashville.

The Alabama Tourism Department has named the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival as one of 50 must-see music festivals in celebration of the 2011 Year of Alabama Music. The list is compiled in conjunction with the year-long promotion designed to attract tourists to Alabama to experience the history, hear the sounds and uncover the untold stories behind dozens of world-wide number-one hits. The 2011 Year of Alabama Music is the eighth in a series of marketing campaigns produced by the Alabama Tourism Department. For more information on the Year of Alabama music or the Alabama Jammer, visit www.yearofalabamamusic.com.

This year’s lineup at the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival features over 15 bands including D.B. Rielly, Leipers Fork Bluegrass Group, The Cadillacs Band, Delta Moon, and headliner Confederate Railroad.
