The Northwest Alabama Arts Council and the Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce will partner once again to host another photo improvement seminar, this time focusing on nighttime shooting, specifically in reference to photographing holiday lights and nighttime Christmas parades. The seminar will be this Sunday, November 18, beginning at 2 p.m., at Dollie’s Restaurant conference room, located inside the EconoLodge Inn & Suites. There is no charge for attendance. Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras.

Serving as instructor for the seminar will be former arts council board member, Zach Wiginton. Zach, a current resident of Charleston, South Carolina, has a bachelor of science degree in arts with a focus in photography from the University of North Alabama where he served as a lead photographer for the FlorAla (the UNA school newspaper). He has worked five years photographing and videoing dance performers for IT Cinema.

For those who would like to come early and eat lunch at the restaurant prior to the seminar, the Sunday “Thanksgiving-styled” buffet is $8. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch on Sunday.

Since we are at such a late date in announcing this seminar, please help us share the word about this seminar with anyone who might be interested — email, Facebook, texting, phone, or person to person. This will be a great opportunity to improve your photography skills especially for the upcoming holiday season.
