Pres. Hamilton Chamber of Commerce

The Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce strongly encourages everyone to “Shop Hamilton First” and to also shop in Marion County for all back-to-school supplies and clothing. Both the City of Hamilton and Marion County are participating in the State’s eighth annual sales tax holiday, which begins on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 12:01 a.m. and ending Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 12 midnight, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers, and clothing free of state, county, and city sales taxes.

Here is the link which details what is included or excluded in the sales tax holiday: http://www.revenue.alabama.gov/salestax/STHolidayQuickRefSheet13.pdf
