SoulStock, north Alabama’s largest outdoor Christian music festival, returns May 15-16.

Decatur, Ala. (April 23, 2015) – North Alabama’s largest free outdoor Christian music festival returns to Decatur the third weekend in May for two days of uplifting contemporary Christian music and testimonials. Set for May 15-16, 2015, SoulStock 2015 features a popular teen reality television star and a variety of Christian performers including a Grammy award winning band, a rap artist, and Americana and pop rock bands along with a handful of other Christian bands. The annual event is held on the Spirit of America Field located in Point Mallard Park in Decatur.

On Friday, gates open at 6 p.m. and include performances by worship leaders Kat Holder (www.katholder.com) and John David Crow (www.johndavidcrow.com) and alternative rock singer-songwriter Noah Cleveland (www.noahcleveland.com).

Gates open at 1 p.m. on Saturday and the line-up features contemporary group Standing Against the Odds (www.reverbnation.com/standingagainsttheodds), hard rockers The Protest (www.theprotestrocks.com), pop rock band Estoria (www.reverbnation.com/estoriarock), Americana band StompTown Revival (www.stomptownrevival.com), rapper DPB (www.reverbnation.com/daviddpbbrooks), soulful pop rock band Unspoken (www.unspokenmusic.com) and a praise and worship performance by Noah Cleveland.

Taking the stage at 6 p.m. on Saturday is this year’s featured speaker Sadie Robertson from the popular A&E series Duck Dynasty and teen motivational speaker. Headliner For King and Country (www.forkingandcountry.com) is slated to perform at 8:45 p.m. Earlier this year, For King and Country won the Grammy Awards for best contemporary Christian music album and best contemporary Christian music performance.

SoulStock has grown to be North Alabama’s largest free outdoor Christian music festival attracting over 20,000 children and adults to the Spirit of America Field located in Point Mallard Park for two days of uplifting contemporary Christian music and testimonials. Festival goers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs, and a variety of food vendors will be available to suit any taste bud. Admission is free.
