Corrected: Sibley Truck Stop location on Exit 7
At the time this story was posted all our information had pointed to the property across the interstate for the new truck stop. Today we spoke with Mayor Page and he corrected our information to the following.
Mr Sibley’s new station is going to be located on the old Whitehead property located between I22 and State Hwy 19. We were also informed that the sewer and water were readily available at this property at this time. The Alabama Dept of Transportation will be installing a turn lane on State Hwy 19 for entrance into and out of the new station around the time of the construction.
SPECIAL NOTE: There are unfortunately times that information gets misstated or misunderstood and has to be corrected. This happens to be one of those times. We do our best to only disseminate information that we know to be correct and this just happened to be one of those times we dropped the ball. We’re never too proud to admit when we were wrong but we’ll do our best to correct it as quickly as possible.
