WIOA/Training Seminar
The Hamilton Career Center will be hosting a Training Information Seminar Tuesday, July 9, 2019, 9:00 AM-10:00 AM. WIOA/ITA information, career exploration, the college admissions process, Labor Market Information, and FAFSA/Financial Aid will be discussed.
The seminar will be held at the Hamilton Career Center located on the Bevill State Community College Campus at 1481 Military Street South, Hamilton, AL 35570.

The Haleyville Career Center is open the first and third Monday of each month. The Haleyville office is located inside the Northwest-Shoals Adult Education Building located in the downtown mall at 2010 9 Ave North, Haleyville, AL 35565. The office will be open Monday, July 1 and Monday, July 15, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
The Phil Campbell Career Center is open the first Wednesday of each month. The Phil Campbell office is located on the Phil Campbell Campus of Northwest-Shoals Community College at 2080 College Rd, Phil Campbell, AL 35581, Occupational Building, 3 Floor, Room 304. The office will be open Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Michael Albert to bring his Nationally known Cereal Box Collage Art to 15 Libraries in Alabama
American Pop Artist/Author Michael Albert brings his “Modern Pop Art Experience” to Winfield, Alabama this summer as part of his Summer Pop Art Tour. New York-based Albert who is the author of an artist autobiography titled, “An Artist’s America” (published by Henry Holt in 2008) is known for making detailed & colorful collages out of cereal boxes & other printed cardboard consumer packages including crackers, cookies, soda cartons, frozen pizza boxes, etc. He will be taking his art on the road and bringing his unique program for Kids, Teens & Families to over 100 libraries, museums & festivals in 18 states from June-August including a series of 15 programs in the State of Alabama.
In Addition to the Winfield Public Library, Albert will be also be visiting libraries in Asheville, Springville, Moody, Homewood, Irondale and Vestavia Hills as well as a series of programs along the southern portion of Alabama in Hartford, Abbeville, Headland, Fort Rucker, Enterprise, Mobile, Spanish Fort and in Chipley, Florida. *See his Homepage for the full tour schedule.
Mr. Albert will be visiting the Winfield Public Library on Thursday June 20 from 2-4pmpm for a special afternoon art making session with School Age Kids, Teens & their parents. Participants in the 2-hour program will listen to a short presentation by the artist about his life & work, view examples of his Modern Pop Art creations and then have a chance to create their own collage using the same materials he uses to create his masterpieces. All those who make a collage will receive a free signed limited edition poster (choosing from a selection of over 14 different prints), compliments of the artist.
In the past decade Albert has brought this program to over 1,000 libraries & museums all over the USA & in Europe & this will be his second time bringing his art to Alabama for his Summer Reading Pop Art Tour. This will be Albert’s first visit to Winfield!
