A wintry mix is possible this afternoon and tonight across the far northern counties. Accumulations of up to a quarter of an inch of snow and a trace of sleet are possible, with the highest chances in Marion and Winston Counties. No signficant impacts are expected, but any leftover moisture on surfaces will freeze overnight across the far northern counties.

Where: Along and north of a line from Vernon to Warrior to Centre.

When: Now through 2 AM tonight.

Impacts: Any snow accumulations will mainly be less than 1/4 inch, mainly on grassy surfaces, along with trace amounts of sleet. Isolated 1/4 to 1/2 inch amounts cannot be ruled out, mainly in Marion and Winston Counties. Only impacts will be the potential for any leftover moisture on surfaces to freeze during the overnight hours.
