11/02/2016 – Cubs Defeat Indians to Win World Series
After a short rain delay in the 7th game at Cleveland’s Progressive Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, the Chicago Cubs WIN the World Series with a score of 8 to 7 over the Cleveland Indians!
It was the bottom of the 10th inning of game number 7. Pitcher, Carl Edwards, Jr. was taken out of the game. There were two outs and a man on base. Mike Montgomery was brought to the mound with one out to win. Mike Martinez’ grounder lands into the glove of a smiling Kris Bryant who fires to Rizzo at first in time and the Cubs Win the first World Series title since 1908!
Ben Zobrist was named World Series MVP and won the special issue Camaro from Coca Cola that goes with the title.
After 108 years, generations of Cubs fans have witnessed their team win a title!

Mays will be minister and Gray will be performing be in two services at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on July 19th and Christ Community Fellowship In the evening July 21st. Mays is the brother of Hamilton’ former mayor the Honorable Ken Mays. Gray is the great grand daughter of Mary Mays of Hamilton.
