10/31/2014 – Last Block Party Will Be Trunk-or-Treat – Downtown Hamilton, AL

FROM THE HAMILTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Here’s the information you’ve been waiting on! Here are the details for Friday night’s (October 31st) Trunk or Treat and final Aggie Block Party in downtown Hamilton.

Barricading: Downtown Hamilton will be barricaded beginning at 5 p.m.

Time/Ages: The Trunk or Treat will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Children should be ages newborn to 12 years old and in costume to participate in the Trunk or Treat.

Costume Contest: There will be a costume contest at 7:45 p.m. at the southwest corner of the court square. Age groups will be newborns to 2 years old, 3 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12. There will be a first place award for each of the age groups which will consist of a small gift card or similar prize.

Registration: ALL children who attend the Trunk or Treat event must come to the Chamber registration table located by Spann/Slatton Law Firm, where their hand will be stamped, and they will be given a list of participating businesses which they will take to each participating entity as they “trunk or treat.” Children who wish to participate in the costume contest will register at the Chamber table when the receive their “list.”

Aggie Block Party: The Aggie Block Party will begin at 8 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. First Born Sons will be playing the final block party of the year. We do encourage all of the attendees to dress up for the block party! Many of our downtown merchants will be open to celebrate Halloween, the Trunk or Treat, and a great Aggie season.

06/07/2012 – June 12th, 2012 – Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ninth Annual Shrimp Boil

It is time for the Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ninth Annual Shrimp Boil!  The event is set for Tuesday, June 12, 2012, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Hamilton Fire Department.

We would encourage all our of members to attend and share this time together!  The shrimp boil was created nine years ago so that busy business community members could share an evening of fun and food together.  We encourage businesses to purchase tickets for all of their employees!

We continue to solicit corporate sponsorships.  We would love to promote your business at this chamber event.  Sponsorships are $75 which includes your business/corporate banner being on display at the event and two shrimp dinner tickets.  If you would like to be a corporate sponsor, please contact Nicki Harbor at 921-0042.

Tickets are on sale now:  $6 pre sale to members, $8 pre sale to nonmembers, which goes through Friday, June 8.  All tickets sold after June 8 will be $10.

T-shirts (the color and design shown below) are available in youth and adult sizes.  Youth t-shirts are $10; adult t-shirts, small through XL are $12, and XXL and XXXL shirts are $14.

Tickets and t-shirts are currently available at First National Bank, First State Bank, and Listerhill Credit Union.  You may also call one of the four officers for delivery of tickets and shirts — Marla Minter, 921-3632; Dana Scott, 921-4444, Tami Williams, 921-3392; and Regina Tibbs, 921-3010.

Music for this event will be performed by Splunge Creek Bluegrass Band.  Even though “go plates” are available, we encourage everyone to come mingle with your fellow chamber and business community members and share an evening of “fun, food, and friends”!
