02/19/2013 – City of Hamilton, AL Hires 2 New Police Officers
Hamilton, Alabama Mayor, Wade Williams and Hamilton City Council members, Tim Holcomb, Tami Lewis Williams, Frances Knight, Greg Ingram, and Lynn Mitchell, hired 2 new Police Officers at their meeting February 19th, 2013.
The two new officers, Antoine Cobb and Eric Sills, were introduced at the February 19th, 2013 meeting by Hamilton Police Chief, Ronnie Vickery. They will assume their duties with an effective hire date of Monday, March 11th, 2013.

07/20/2012 – Local Candidate Signs Vandalized Last Night…Police Press Anouncement
Hamilton Police Department Press Release:
During the night of July 19th, the campaign signs of a local political candidate were vandalized by someone who spray painted several of them with obscenities. The signs had been posted at various locations throughout the city.
We believe these are acts of malicious individuals that do not directly represent any opposition candidate. The victim’s name in this case is being withheld to emphasize that these are illegal acts and the Hamilton Police Department will enforce a zero tolerance policy regarding anyone involved in criminal activity that does not allow any candidate the fair opportunity to run their campaign.
We are also hopeful that candidates will encourage the public to express their views by voting rather than wrongful or misguided acts.
