Decatur , Ala. – Approximately 1,000 antique cars and trucks will make their way to Point Mallard Park July 8th and 9th for the 24th annual Greater Tennessee Valley Antique Car Show. The event has grown to be one of the largest car shows in the region attracting collectors and fans from as far away as New Hampshire. Along with vintage vehicles, the two-day event also features a huge Swap Meet, live entertainment, arts and crafts, and an assortment of food vendors.

As spectators admire the antique cars and trucks and mingle with the owners, music and live entertainment are slated for both days with renowned Elvis tribute artist Michael Dean set to perform throughout the day on Saturday. Popular with collectors and classic automotive enthusiasts, the Swap Meet, featuring old parts and memorabilia, will be open both days.

Registration is $25 per vehicle and the first 500 entries will receive a free t-shirt and dash plague. This year’s grand prizes are two 350 Chevrolet engines and a set of Chrome Wheels. Door prizes (for registered cars only) include tools, shop equipment, televisions and much more.

Hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free for spectators. Sponsors are Lynn Layton Chevrolet, Family Security Credit Union, and Minor Tire and Visions Wheel.
